Lavender Cottage
Built over 200 years ago, this stone byre (or barn) has been converted into a cosy and sumptuous open-plan cottage for couples.
The conversion, originally completed in the 1990's has recently been completely refurbished and upgraded to a very high standard.
The cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with a new cooker, dishwasher and washing machine / tumble dryer. A small freezer has also been fitted to complement the ice-box in the refrigerator.
A new hot-water tank supplies high-pressure water to the bathroom for a really invigorating shower and fast-filling bath.
The loft area has been deeply insulated, adding to this cottage's snug feel in the winter and helping to keep the living area cool in the summer.
A new log-burning stove has been installed in the huge stone fireplace so now you can leave the fire burning for when you return from those brisk winter walks.
The entrance lobby has a storage heater providing ample warmth for drying damp boots and soggy dogs.
The calm blue interior of Lavender Cottage provides the perfect setting for a relaxing "get away from it all" break, with only the faint sound of the stream running by to break the silence.
