Location

Lag Kilmichael is located at the end of a private track off the B842 about 2 miles North of Carradale, on the East coast of the Kintyre peninsula.

Kinytre is in the county of Argyll & Bute on the south west coast of the Scottish mainland.
Although almost completely surrounded by the sea, Kintyre is joined the mainland at Tarbert by a thin strip of land and so we can just as easily be reached by road or by using ferries from Glasgow or the Argyll mainland.

It is about a three-hour journey to Carradale from Glasgow; either by road all the way, or using the local ferry services to cut across the Clyde Estuary and Loch Fyne. Whichever you choose, once Glasgow is left behind, the stunning scenery soon emerges and each route has some fantastic viewpoints where you can stop and admire the landscape.
